Okay, so I've obviously got a serious update in coming back from Italy, but I haven't been able to sit down and write it properly. This short list update must suffice until I have a moment...which might be Wednesday.
1. I was in Italy with my mom, great aunt Peggy and great uncle John.
2. I'm working a LOT at the new digs, Paragon Sports. Dressing sportier than ever.
3. I've never had such sickening jet-lag as returning from Europe. I take this as a sign that I'm getting old. And need a liger vacation.
4. Before the trip I got a shellac manicure and it changed my life. Ladies you MUST try this!
5. I'm homesick for Texas. If it's grey any longer I might wither like a neglected flower.
6. I had to look up Easter's date...feeling a little out of touch.
7. My caffeine addiction has reached new heights and I'm consuming several times a day. Whether this is a product of amazing Italian coffee or overworking myself between Paragon, auditions, and an attempted social life...who knows. But I'm a sleepy zombie without it, no matter how much sleep I get the night prior.
8. New read is Joan Didion's "Year of Magical Thinking". So good, amazingly timed in my own life, and inspiring me to write again. I've got a few short stories in my journal that have cropped up, probably mirroring her stark and honest style. But it's nice for me.
Ok I promise I'll write a long lavish Italian entry ASAP, complete with photographic evidence. It was a lovely trip and deserves documentation. Caroline signing off...
